CollectionAbstreal Collection
The AbstreaL Collection is where realism and abstraction meet. The name AbstreaL reflects my pursuit of painting in the space between the recognizable and the imagined—where the power of nature is felt more than explained.
Inspired by the ever-changing waters of Kauaʻi, these paintings capture the movement, energy, and emotion of the ocean rather than a literal moment in time. Sweeping gestures, luminous color, and flowing forms create a visual experience that invites the viewer to discover their own connection to the sea. Waves emerge and dissolve, light dances across the surface, and familiar shapes drift into abstraction.
Each painting begins with observation but evolves into something more intuitive. Layers of color and expressive brushwork reveal the rhythm and spirit of the ocean—the feeling of standing before a breaking wave, watching sunlight filter through deep water, or sensing the endless motion of the Pacific.

CollectionSierra Nevada Collection
From 2000 through 2010, I spent countless days painting in the Sierra Nevada Mountains near Sonora, California. Drawn to the rugged granite landscapes, crystal-clear rivers, ancient pines, and abundant wildlife, I sought to create paintings that were both artistic and faithful to the natural world around me.
Unlike my more interpretive ocean work, the Sierra Nevada Collection is rooted in careful observation. My goal was to accurately capture the region's unique flora and fauna—the twisted junipers clinging to granite cliffs, the towering ponderosa pines, the mountain streams, wildflowers, birds, and wildlife that define this remarkable landscape. Many of these paintings were created on location, allowing me to experience firsthand the changing light, weather, and seasons that give the Sierra its character.
The Sierra Nevada is a place of resilience and quiet strength. Wind-shaped trees emerge from solid rock, clear pools reflect the sky, and every season reveals new colors and textures. Through these paintings, I hoped to preserve not only the visual beauty of the mountains but also the sense of peace, wonder, and timelessness that has drawn generations of artists and explorers to this extraordinary wilderness.
The Sierra Nevada Collection is both a celebration of nature and a visual record of a decade spent studying one of America's most beautiful mountain landscapes.

The Italy Collection was inspired by my travels through Tuscany, the Amalfi Coast, and the timeless villages that define the Italian landscape. These paintings celebrate not only the beauty of Italy's countryside and coastline, but also the rich way of life that has captivated artists, writers, and travelers for centuries.
From the sun-drenched vineyards and rolling hills of Tuscany to the dramatic cliffs and sparkling waters of the Amalfi Coast, I was drawn to the harmony between nature, architecture, and daily life. Ancient stone buildings, winding streets, olive groves, colorful fishing villages, and bustling piazzas all became subjects that reflected the warmth and character of the Italian spirit.
What fascinated me most was the Italian appreciation for beauty in everyday living. Meals shared with family, conversations in village squares, morning markets, and evenings overlooking the sea revealed a culture that embraces art, tradition, and the simple pleasures of life. These moments became as important to me as the landscapes themselves.
Through this collection, I sought to capture the light, color, and atmosphere that make Italy so unforgettable. Each painting is a reflection of a place where history, culture, and natural beauty exist in perfect balance—a celebration of a lifestyle that values connection, craftsmanship, and the enjoyment of life's everyday treasures.
