Abstreal is a genre I developed to describe paintings that inhabit the space between abstract expression and visual realism. Rooted in the waters of Kaua‘i, these works explore the shifting boundary between what we see and what we feel.

Ocean light, depth, and motion become the language of the paintings. Forms emerge and dissolve, horizons soften, and the surface of the sea becomes both landscape and meditation. Each piece reflects the quiet, luminous presence of water—at once real and dreamlike.
